Recover Lost and Corrupted Files without the Recovery Wizard
While the Recovery Wizard opens automatically every time you start the product, you may need to run a fully manual recovery operation.
In this case, close the wizard or disable it altogether by unchecking the option in the Menu-View-Preferences. To recover your files manually, you will need to use the main window.

The main window allows you to select (double-click) a logical drive or the entire hard drive for scanning. The entire hard drive should be only selected in case of serious data corruption or when Windows cannot recognize partitions. The product will scan the device selected to locate recoverable NTFS partitions, then it will scan the partitions for lost files and folders.
This procedure will be fully automatic. The scan operation will take some time, depending on the size of the disk and the number of files
On the screenshot below, the scanner runs on a single physical drive where the operating system is installed.
Click Next to start the disk scan.

When the scan is complete, you will be able to browse all recoverable files. The files will be placed in their original folders preserving original names when possible. You can preview a lot of different file formats with our internal preview viewer.

To recover data, you need to select a file or folder and click Recover to start the Export Wizard. Select a location to save the recovered files to. After the recovery process is done, click the displayed link to view your files. Then click Finish.
